Christian Herter was the most respected 'Interior Designer' in the world, and remains so to this very day.

His work was of exceptional quality, and is highly sought after by museums, art dealers and collectors worldwide.

Christian Herter was most famous for his fine-crafted wood furniture, as part of the 'Herter Brothers of New York'. His work could be found in the most prestigious of homes, including 'The White House', and covered every aspect of Interior Design.

Although Christian Herter died in 1883, his legacy continued on when his wife Mary Herter built the 'El Mirasol Herter Estate'. It became a showcase of Herter Family Art, much of which has never been offically documented.

Built at the turn of the 19th century, the El Mirasol estate was an artisan's showcase for Herter Family Art.

The artwork at the El Mirasol were created by Christian Herter and his talented family, including the artists Albert and Adele Herter.

This California Herter mansion contained elegant Herter Brothers furniture, Christian Herter designed "sunflower" motif wallpaper, lighting fixtures, and more...

Albert and Adele Herter decorated the El Mirasol mansion with Herter artwork, including beautiful murals, tapestries and textiles by Herter Looms, fine oil paintings and painted-foil wallpaper by Albert and Adele Herter, and elegant Tiffany stain glass windows designed by Albert Herter and executed by Tiffany Studios.
